Release tension, increase circulation and reduce cellulite with dynamic cupping massage at Zen Body & Skin in Henderson, NV.
Cupping massage uses soft silicone cups that are placed on the body and squeezed creating a vacuum effect on the skin and fascia (the connective tissue that surrounds muscle). The cups have a pulling effect (instead of the pushing effect that’s associated with a typical massage).
The cups are glided across the body on oiled skin. This helps release tissues that get stuck together and are causing pain and blockages. The negative pressure of the cups pulls stagnant blood from the capillaries into the veins to be disposed of by the lymphatic system.
Dynamic Cupping can feel like a deep tissue massage. However, the intensity can be adjusted to your comfort level. A light touch will work on the superficial layers stimulating and clearing away stagnant lymph.
After fire cupping “bruise” like circles may appear, remaining a few hours or up to several days after treatment. The marks are not true bruises instead they are stagnant fluids (blood, lymph, and toxins) that are brought to the surface and will be carried away by the lymph system.
Cupping massage is included in the cellulite smooth & tone treatment along with lypossage, wood therapy, dry brushing, and a green coffee and botanical toning oil.
Smaller cups are used for the face and are often used to compliment holistic facials, facial gua sha, or buccal massage. Facial cupping helps relieve tension in the jaw and face, smooth out wrinkles, improve circulation and increase the skin’s metabolic rate. Cupping provides an immediate healthy glow to the skin.
